  1. 1.Why do these websites have to increase website traffic?
More people are using the websites and, thus, they have to increase website traffic to accommodate for the increase in demand.
2.Do you trust the information / activities mentioned on these websites? why?
No. The source is unknown and we may not know if it is a trustable or reliable one.

    1. I agree with your statement as it is true about the increase in demand and that some sources can be inaccurate.

    2. We agree with your pov, however if the website is certified as a trusted site by anti-virus softwares (such as Norton, Sophos etc) it should be ok :)

  2. 1. The creators of the games rely on the earnings and the number of players playing subscribing to the game to earn a living and to support their lives
    2. Sometimes. Sometimes there are phishing sites that are sent to our mail, notifications etc., that want to extract our personal information for their own earnings and lives while doing harm to us.

  3. 1. Certain companies like google pay website owners to put advertisements on their site. As a result, if more people visit their website, they will pay them more money and that is why they have to increase the website traffic.

    2. No. Some of these activities may be fake or they are just enticing you to visit their websites. These websites might also try to implant viruses into your device and ultimately destroy the internal software and phish out information.

  4. 1) They need to publicise the website , to "raise awarness" about the product or service or what not so they can earn more revenue if people know about their product and see if people actually will buy the thing. In additon ,the more views on their website , the more money they will get from advertising.
    2) The information is not always trustworthy as some people want to put up false advertising to convince other people to do something or what not. So you cannot always trust the websites until you do the 3c's test #IH.

  5. Part 1
Cyberspace is an online platform where people can post about anything freely and other people can read it. It is also a platform for communicating with one another.

    Part 2
1.Why do these websites have to increase website traffic?
-More and more people are accessing the websites.

2.Do you trust the information / activities mentioned on these websites? why?
-If the information/activity is from a reliable source then we would consider trusting them. If the source is unreliable, we do not know if the information is true or false as some people may be messing with others.

    1. I agree with both points. Not all sources can be trusted and there are always dangers on the internet.

    2. If the information is certified by trustworthy parties, yes, but other than that, stuff on the internet might not always be true.

  7. What is cyberspace?
-Online systems, e.g, create a cyberspace within which people can communicate with one another, do research, or window shop.

    1. So that they can earn more money

    2. No. The company's objective is to make us addicted to their games/websites so we don't think that people should trust the information/activities mentioned on these websites

  8. 1. To earn more money. Some players will get addicted to the games, and when they don't have enough lives/energy, they would buy the lives/energy with coins (in the game). Eventually, when they cannot buy with the coins in the game, they would buy lives/energy with real money.
    2. No. These websites' motive is to earn more money, one way or another.

  10. They increase it so as to allow more members to join. Also the website has gained more popularity and needs to accomodate its members.
No . Because we do not know its source and it may hack or send a virus to the computer.

  11. 1. By increasing traffic, there is a higher number of users, that will result in the website becoming famous so that even more people know about it. They can earn more money from that.

    2. Nope. We can't trust everything we see on the websites since we have no idea whether it is accurate and there is no way to verify it.

  12. 1. Many people use the cyberspace/website every single day. They want to earn money and popularity, by making people addicted to the certain website so that they can get "credits" or things that the person will actually pay for.
    2. It depends. Some information are actually valid and legit, but depends on honesty and trustworthy of the producer.

    2. I only trust some. Some information comes from an unreliable source so we should only trust information that comes from a reliable source.
